STANDING ORDER

To

All Emergency Officers,

Subject: The fire safety of a place of public assembly by owners of a place of public assembly under the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 2 of 2009), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the fire safety of a place of public assembly by owners of a place of public assembly.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a place of public assembly carrying on the fire safety of a place of public assembly shall make an application in Form G to the State Authority within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Emergency Officer shall ensure that evacuation plan is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Authority within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
