OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The working of a distillery by distillers under the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Labour Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh on the manner in which the working of a distillery by distillers is to be regulated under the Andhra Pradesh Excise Act, 1968.

2. The matter has been examined. Every distiller carrying on the working of a distillery shall make an application in Form F to the District Excise Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the working of a distillery is undertaken, and the District Excise Officer shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
