OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The irrigation of land from a canal by cultivators of irrigated land under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of Rajasthan on the manner in which the irrigation of land from a canal by cultivators of irrigated land is to be regulated under the Rajasthan Irrigation and Drainage Act, 1954.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cultivator of irrigated land carrying on the irrigation of land from a canal shall make an application in Form D to the Government of Rajasthan within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the irrigation of land from a canal is undertaken, and the Government of Rajasthan shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Rajasthan.
