STANDING ORDER

To

All Court Officers,

Subject: The supply of certified copies by copying agents under the Bombay Court Fees Act, 1959, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Bombay Court Fees Act, 1959 (Maharashtra Act 36 of 1959), the Law Department, Government of Maharashtra hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the supply of certified copies by copying agents.

2. The matter has been examined. Every copying agent carrying on the supply of certified copies shall make an application in Form E to the Government of Maharashtra within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. The Court Officer shall ensure that record is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Government of Maharashtra within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Maharashtra.
