OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The transport of school children by operators of a school bus under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the transport of school children by operators of a school bus is to be regulated under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, 2009.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a school bus carrying on the transport of school children shall make an application in Form E to the Director of Education within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the transport of school children is undertaken, and the Director of Education shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Commercial Taxes Department, Government of Gujarat.
