STANDING ORDER

To

All Regionals Officer of the Board,

Subject: The operation of a community radio station by community radio stations under the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984 (Tamil Nadu Act 7 of 1984), the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a community radio station by community radio stations.

2. The matter has been examined. Every community radio station carrying on the operation of a community radio station shall make an application in Form VIII to the Registering Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Regional Officer of the Board shall ensure that advertisement is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registering Authority within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information and Public Relations Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
