OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The operation of a plant by operators of a plant under the Karnataka Forest Act, 1964, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the operation of a plant by operators of a plant is to be regulated under the Karnataka Forest Act, 1964.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a plant carrying on the operation of a plant shall make an application in Form I to the Government of Karnataka within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a plant is undertaken, and the Government of Karnataka shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Karnataka.
