STANDING ORDER

All Housing Commissioners,

Subject: The management of a co-operative housing society by co-operative housing societies under the Karnataka Apartment Ownership Act, 1972, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Apartment Ownership Act, 1972 (Karnataka Act 17 of 1972), the Information Technology Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the management of a co-operative housing society by co-operative housing societies.

2. The matter has been examined. Every co-operative housing society carrying on the management of a co-operative housing society shall make an application in Form A to the Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Housing Commissioner shall ensure that agreement for sale is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Authority within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Karnataka.
