STANDING ORDER

To

All Registrars of Inland Vessels,

Subject: The operation of a cruise vessel by operators of a cruise vessel under the Tamil Nadu Maritime Board Act, 1995, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Maritime Board Act, 1995 (Tamil Nadu Act 4 of 1995), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a cruise vessel by operators of a cruise vessel.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a cruise vessel carrying on the operation of a cruise vessel shall make an application in Form 1 to the Registrar of Ships within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. The Registrar of Inland Vessels shall ensure that vessel is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar of Ships within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
