OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The execution of works for a Panchayat by contractors engaged by a Panchayat under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Rajasthan on the manner in which the execution of works for a Panchayat by contractors engaged by a Panchayat is to be regulated under the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor engaged by a Panchayat carrying on the execution of works for a Panchayat shall make an application in Form 4 to the Director of Panchayats within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the execution of works for a Panchayat is undertaken, and the Director of Panchayats shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Rajasthan.
