STANDING ORDER

To

All Assistants Registrar of Co-operative Societies,

Subject: The culture of fish by fish farmers under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961 (Punjab Act 23 of 1961), the General Administration Department, Government of Punjab hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the culture of fish by fish farmers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every fish farmer carrying on the culture of fish shall make an application in Form A to the Market Committee within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. The Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies shall ensure that planting material is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Market Committee within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Punjab.
