STANDING ORDER

To

All Authorised Officers,

Subject: The operation of a teleport by operators of a teleport under the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Exhibition of Films on Television Screen through Video Cassette Recorders (Regulation) Act, 1984 (Tamil Nadu Act 7 of 1984), the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a teleport by operators of a teleport.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a teleport carrying on the operation of a teleport shall make an application in Form VI to the Press Council within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. The Authorised Officer shall ensure that periodical is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Press Council within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
