STANDING ORDER

To

All Registrars,

Subject: The administration of oaths by oath commissioners under the Uttar Pradesh Civil Laws (Reforms and Amendment) Act, 1954, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Civil Laws (Reforms and Amendment) Act, 1954 (Uttar Pradesh Act 24 of 1954), the Tourism Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the administration of oaths by oath commissioners.

2. The matter has been examined. Every oath commissioner carrying on the administration of oaths shall make an application in Form A to the High Court within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. The Registrar shall ensure that summons is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the High Court within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
