OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The holding of an inam by inamdars under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Puducherry on the manner in which the holding of an inam by inamdars is to be regulated under the Puducherry Land Reforms (Fixation of Ceiling on Land) Act, 1973.
2. The matter has been examined. Every inamdar carrying on the holding of an inam shall make an application in Form 7 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of an inam is undertaken, and the Revenue Divisional Officer shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Puducherry.
