STANDING ORDER

To

All Fire Officers,

Subject: The transport of hazardous chemicals by transporters of hazardous chemicals under the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat State Disaster Management Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 20 of 2003), the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the transport of hazardous chemicals by transporters of hazardous chemicals.

2. The matter has been examined. Every transporter of hazardous chemicals carrying on the transport of hazardous chemicals shall make an application in Form G to the National Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Fire Officer shall ensure that installation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the National Authority within fifteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Gujarat.
