OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The manufacture of drugs by manufacturers under the Karnataka Private Medical Establishments Act, 2007, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka on the manner in which the manufacture of drugs by manufacturers is to be regulated under the Karnataka Private Medical Establishments Act, 2007.

2. The matter has been examined. Every manufacturer carrying on the manufacture of drugs shall make an application in Form 29 to the National Medical Commission within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the manufacture of drugs is undertaken, and the National Medical Commission shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Karnataka.
