OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The operation of an early warning system by operators of an early warning system under the Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act, 2007, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the operation of an early warning system by operators of an early warning system is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act, 2007.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of an early warning system carrying on the operation of an early warning system shall make an application in Form H to the Civil Defence Controller within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of an early warning system is undertaken, and the Civil Defence Controller shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Maharashtra.
