STANDING ORDER

To

All Protection Officers,

Subject: The running of a children's home by operators of a children's home under the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Devadasis (Prohibition of Dedication) Act, 1988 (Andhra Pradesh Act 10 of 1988), the Labour Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a children's home by operators of a children's home.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a children's home carrying on the running of a children's home shall make an application in Form V to the Committee within three days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Protection Officer shall ensure that home study report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Committee within three days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
