STANDING ORDER
To
All Forest Guards,
Subject: The operation of a diesel generator set by owners of a diesel generator set under the Kerala Forest Act, 1961, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Forest Act, 1961 (Kerala Act 4 of 1961), the Environment Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a diesel generator set by owners of a diesel generator set.
2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a diesel generator set carrying on the operation of a diesel generator set shall make an application in Form II to the State Board within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.
3. The Forest Guard shall ensure that consent is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the State Board within one hundred and eighty days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Kerala.
