OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The running of a child care institution by child care institutions under the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the running of a child care institution by child care institutions is to be regulated under the Maharashtra State Commission for Women Act, 1993.

2. The matter has been examined. Every child care institution carrying on the running of a child care institution shall make an application in Form V to the District Magistrate within three days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a child care institution is undertaken, and the District Magistrate shall dispose of it within three days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Maharashtra.
