OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Photography at a protected monument by holders of a photography permit under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Tourism Department, Government of Kerala on the manner in which photography at a protected monument by holders of a photography permit is to be regulated under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005.

2. The matter has been examined. Every holder of a photography permit carrying on photography at a protected monument shall make an application in Form VI to the Government of Kerala within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which photography at a protected monument is undertaken, and the Government of Kerala shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Kerala.
