STANDING ORDER

To

All Cantonment Executive Officers,

Subject: The erection of buildings near a defence work by owners of a building near a defence work under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986 (Uttar Pradesh Act 7 of 1986), the Transport Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the erection of buildings near a defence work by owners of a building near a defence work.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building near a defence work carrying on the erection of buildings near a defence work shall make an application in Form C to the Commanding Officer of the Unit within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. The Cantonment Executive Officer shall ensure that notice of manoeuvres is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commanding Officer of the Unit within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
