STANDING ORDER

To

All Charity Commissioners,

Subject: The occupation of waqf property by tenants of waqf property under the Odisha Hindu Religious Endowments Act, 1952, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Odisha Hindu Religious Endowments Act, 1952 (Odisha Act 2 of 1952), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Odisha hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the occupation of waqf property by tenants of waqf property.

2. The matter has been examined. Every tenant of waqf property carrying on the occupation of waqf property shall make an application in Form A to the Board within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred and fifty rupees.

3. The Charity Commissioner shall ensure that account is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board within one hundred and eighty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Odisha.
