OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The tapping of toddy by toddy tappers under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh on the manner in which the tapping of toddy by toddy tappers is to be regulated under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915.

2. The matter has been examined. Every toddy tapper carrying on the tapping of toddy shall make an application in Form A to the Government of Madhya Pradesh within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the tapping of toddy is undertaken, and the Government of Madhya Pradesh shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
