OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The holding of land by landholders under the Gujarat Agricultural Lands Ceiling Act, 1961, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the holding of land by landholders is to be regulated under the Gujarat Agricultural Lands Ceiling Act, 1961.

2. The matter has been examined. Every landholder carrying on the holding of land shall make an application in Form 12 to the State Government within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the holding of land is undertaken, and the State Government shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Gujarat.
