OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The construction of a group housing scheme by builders of a group housing scheme under the Maharashtra Ownership Flats (Regulation of the Promotion of Construction, Sale, Management and Transfer) Act, 1963, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Housing Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the construction of a group housing scheme by builders of a group housing scheme is to be regulated under the Maharashtra Ownership Flats (Regulation of the Promotion of Construction, Sale, Management and Transfer) Act, 1963.

2. The matter has been examined. Every builder of a group housing scheme carrying on the construction of a group housing scheme shall make an application in Form C to the Competent Authority within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the construction of a group housing scheme is undertaken, and the Competent Authority shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Maharashtra.
