STANDING ORDER

To

All Deputies Commissioner of Excise,

Subject: The sale of liquor for consumption on the premises by bar licensees under the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910 (Uttar Pradesh Act 4 of 1910), the Environment Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the sale of liquor for consumption on the premises by bar licensees.

2. The matter has been examined. Every bar licensee carrying on the sale of liquor for consumption on the premises shall make an application in Form G to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. The Deputy Commissioner of Excise shall ensure that consignment is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Deputy Commissioner of Excise within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
