OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The employment of adolescents by employers of adolescents under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Transport Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the employment of adolescents by employers of adolescents is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Woman Act, 2002.

2. The matter has been examined. Every employer of adolescents carrying on the employment of adolescents shall make an application in Form III to the Child Welfare Committee within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the employment of adolescents is undertaken, and the Child Welfare Committee shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Transport Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
