STANDING ORDER

To

All Panchayat Inspectors,

Subject: The plying of a tractor for hire by owners of a tractor plying for hire under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act 13 of 1994), the Law Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the plying of a tractor for hire by owners of a tractor plying for hire.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a tractor plying for hire carrying on the plying of a tractor for hire shall make an application in Form 1 to the Director of Panchayats within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Panchayat Inspector shall ensure that tax receipt is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director of Panchayats within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
