STANDING ORDER

To

All Defence Estates Officers,

Subject: The provision of security services in a cantonment by operators of a private security service in a cantonment under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986 (Uttar Pradesh Act 7 of 1986), the Information Technology Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the provision of security services in a cantonment by operators of a private security service in a cantonment.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a private security service in a cantonment carrying on the provision of security services in a cantonment shall make an application in Form C to the Station Commander within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Defence Estates Officer shall ensure that defence work is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Station Commander within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
