STANDING ORDER

All Civil Defence Officers,

Subject: The operation of a hazardous installation by owners of a hazardous installation under the Andhra Pradesh Fire Service Act, 1999, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Fire Service Act, 1999 (Andhra Pradesh Act 27 of 1999), the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the operation of a hazardous installation by owners of a hazardous installation.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a hazardous installation carrying on the operation of a hazardous installation shall make an application in Form B to the Relief Commissioner within three days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Civil Defence Officer shall ensure that register of shelters is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Relief Commissioner within three days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
