OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The preparedness of a hospital for emergencies by operators of a hospital under the Tamil Nadu Fire Service Act, 1985, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which the preparedness of a hospital for emergencies by operators of a hospital is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Fire Service Act, 1985.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a hospital carrying on the preparedness of a hospital for emergencies shall make an application in Form F to the Director of Fire Services within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the preparedness of a hospital for emergencies is undertaken, and the Director of Fire Services shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
