STANDING ORDER

To

All Provost Marshals,

Subject: The erection of buildings near a defence work by owners of a building near a defence work under the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Control of Organised Crimes Act, 2002 (Karnataka Act 1 of 2002), the Home Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the erection of buildings near a defence work by owners of a building near a defence work.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a building near a defence work carrying on the erection of buildings near a defence work shall make an application in Form C to the Commanding Officer of the Unit within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Provost Marshal shall ensure that canteen stock is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Commanding Officer of the Unit within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Karnataka.
