STANDING ORDER

All Panchayat Inspectors,

Subject: The running of a common service centre by operators of a common service centre under the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 (Tamil Nadu Act 21 of 1994), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Tamil Nadu hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a common service centre by operators of a common service centre.

2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a common service centre carrying on the running of a common service centre shall make an application in Form 3 to the Block Development Officer within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Panchayat Inspector shall ensure that muster roll is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Block Development Officer within sixty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
