OFFICE MEMORANDUM
Subject: The retail sale of petroleum products by retail outlet dealers under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003, regarding.
1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Gujarat on the manner in which the retail sale of petroleum products by retail outlet dealers is to be regulated under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003.
2. The matter has been examined. Every retail outlet dealer carrying on the retail sale of petroleum products shall make an application in Form III to the Central Commission within seven days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the retail sale of petroleum products is undertaken, and the Central Commission shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Gujarat.
