STANDING ORDER

To

All Maintenance Officers,

Subject: The administration of an estate by administrators of an estate under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024 (Uttarakhand Act 3 of 2024), the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Uttarakhand hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the administration of an estate by administrators of an estate.

2. The matter has been examined. Every administrator of an estate carrying on the administration of an estate shall make an application in Form VI to the Central Adoption Resource Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Maintenance Officer shall ensure that adoption order is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Central Adoption Resource Authority within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
