STANDING ORDER

To

All Inspecting Officers,

Subject: The storage of petroleum by persons engaged in the supply of energy under the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Gujarat Electricity Industry (Reorganisation and Regulation) Act, 2003 (Gujarat Act 24 of 2003), the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Gujarat hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the storage of petroleum by persons engaged in the supply of energy.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person engaged in the supply of energy carrying on the storage of petroleum shall make an application in Form VIII to the Authority within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of twenty-five thousand rupees.

3. The Inspecting Officer shall ensure that generating station is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Authority within ninety days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Women and Child Development Department, Government of Gujarat.
