STANDING ORDER

To

All Conciliation Officers,

Subject: The administration of an estate by administrators of an estate under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024 (Uttarakhand Act 3 of 2024), the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Uttarakhand hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the administration of an estate by administrators of an estate.

2. The matter has been examined. Every administrator of an estate carrying on the administration of an estate shall make an application in Form VII to the Family Court within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees.

3. The Conciliation Officer shall ensure that notice of intended marriage is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Family Court within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Youth Services and Sports Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
