STANDING ORDER

To

All Block Development Officers,

Subject: The running of a village bus stand by licensees of a village bus stand under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Andhra Pradesh Act 13 of 1994), the Law Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the running of a village bus stand by licensees of a village bus stand.

2. The matter has been examined. Every licensee of a village bus stand carrying on the running of a village bus stand shall make an application in Form 7 to the District Panchayat within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Block Development Officer shall ensure that demand notice is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the District Panchayat within fourteen days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Law Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
