STANDING ORDER

To

All Sub-Registrars,

Subject: The registration of births and deaths by registrars of births and deaths under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024 (Uttarakhand Act 3 of 2024), the Ports Department, Government of Uttarakhand hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the registration of births and deaths by registrars of births and deaths.

2. The matter has been examined. Every registrar of births and deaths carrying on the registration of births and deaths shall make an application in Form VIII to the Central Adoption Resource Authority within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Sub-Registrar shall ensure that adoption order is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Central Adoption Resource Authority within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
