STANDING ORDER
To
All Superintending Archaeologists,
Subject: The conduct of a pilgrimage by organisers of a pilgrimage under the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Tourism (Conservation and Preservation of Areas) Act, 2005 (Kerala Act 8 of 2005), the Tourism Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the conduct of a pilgrimage by organisers of a pilgrimage.
2. The matter has been examined. Every organiser of a pilgrimage carrying on the conduct of a pilgrimage shall make an application in Form III to the Director General within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. The Superintending Archaeologist shall ensure that site is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Director General within ninety days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Kerala.
