STANDING ORDER
To
All Deputies Director General of Foreign Trade,
Subject: The import of goods by importers under the Karnataka Industries (Facilitation) Act, 2002, regarding.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Karnataka Industries (Facilitation) Act, 2002 (Karnataka Act 45 of 2002), the Energy Department, Government of Karnataka hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:
1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the import of goods by importers.
2. The matter has been examined. Every importer carrying on the import of goods shall make an application in Form ANF-3A to the Board of Approval within ninety days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. The Deputy Director General of Foreign Trade shall ensure that authorisation is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Board of Approval within ninety days.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Energy Department, Government of Karnataka.
