STANDING ORDER

To

All Registrars of Births and Deaths,

Subject: The care of children in an institution by child care institutions under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024 (Uttarakhand Act 3 of 2024), the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Uttarakhand hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the care of children in an institution by child care institutions.

2. The matter has been examined. Every child care institution carrying on the care of children in an institution shall make an application in Form V to the Registrar of Marriages within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.

3. The Registrar of Births and Deaths shall ensure that inventory of the estate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Registrar of Marriages within twenty-one days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
