OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The keeping of milch cattle by dairy farmers under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Punjab on the manner in which the keeping of milch cattle by dairy farmers is to be regulated under the Punjab Agricultural Produce Markets Act, 1961.

2. The matter has been examined. Every dairy farmer carrying on the keeping of milch cattle shall make an application in Form A to the Government of Punjab within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of milch cattle is undertaken, and the Government of Punjab shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Punjab.
