STANDING ORDER

All Surveyors,

Subject: The taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land under the Andhra Pradesh Land Titling Act, 2023, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Andhra Pradesh Land Titling Act, 2023 (Andhra Pradesh Act 27 of 2023), the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mortgagee of agricultural land carrying on the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land shall make an application in Form 5 to the Revenue Divisional Officer within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. The Surveyor shall ensure that map is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Revenue Divisional Officer within seven days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
