OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The certification of disability by certifying medical authorities under the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Environment Department, Government of Maharashtra on the manner in which the certification of disability by certifying medical authorities is to be regulated under the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes Act, 2018.

2. The matter has been examined. Every certifying medical authority carrying on the certification of disability shall make an application in Form IV to the State Commissioner within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of ten rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the certification of disability is undertaken, and the State Commissioner shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Maharashtra.
