STANDING ORDER

To

All Controllers of Certifying Authorities,

Subject: The provision of digital locker services by digital locker service providers under the Kerala Police Act, 2011, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Kerala Police Act, 2011 (Kerala Act 8 of 2011), the Information Technology Department, Government of Kerala hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the provision of digital locker services by digital locker service providers.

2. The matter has been examined. Every digital locker service provider carrying on the provision of digital locker services shall make an application in Form F to the Controller within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. The Controller of Certifying Authorities shall ensure that data breach report is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Controller within forty-five days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Information Technology Department, Government of Kerala.
