OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Participation in procurement by bidders under the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tenders Act, 1998, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu on the manner in which participation in procurement by bidders is to be regulated under the Tamil Nadu Transparency in Tenders Act, 1998.

2. The matter has been examined. Every bidder carrying on participation in procurement shall make an application in Form GFR 22 to the Comptroller and Auditor-General within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which participation in procurement is undertaken, and the Comptroller and Auditor-General shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
