STANDING ORDER

To

All Conciliation Officers,

Subject: The functions of a kazi by kazis under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024 (Uttarakhand Act 3 of 2024), the Finance Department, Government of Uttarakhand hereby issues the following Standing Order for the guidance of all officers subordinate to it:

1. References have been received seeking clarification on the manner in which section 9 applies to the functions of a kazi by kazis.

2. The matter has been examined. Every kazi carrying on the functions of a kazi shall make an application in Form III to the Maintenance Tribunal within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. The Conciliation Officer shall ensure that inventory of the estate is dealt with as directed above, and shall report compliance to the Maintenance Tribunal within thirty days.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this standing order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
