OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: The taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land under the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 2020, regarding.

1. The undersigned is directed to say that references have been received in the Home Department, Government of Telangana on the manner in which the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land by mortgagees of agricultural land is to be regulated under the Telangana Rights in Land and Pattadar Pass Books Act, 2020.

2. The matter has been examined. Every mortgagee of agricultural land carrying on the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land shall make an application in Form 2 to the Settlement Officer within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the taking of a mortgage of agricultural land is undertaken, and the Settlement Officer shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this office memorandum may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Telangana.
